Meet the Team
The Guild is currently run by three part time staff; Jane Shields, Brett Chapman and Oriana Franceschi, find out more about them below.
Jane Shields, Development Manager
Originally from Sheffield, Jane moved to London to train as a theatre maker at Rose Bruford College. In 2010, after a few years in London, a stint training as an acrobat in Estonia and a year living on a farm in rural Wales, Jane moved back to Sheffield. Jane has been running the Guild since its inception in 2015.
As well as theatre, Jane is a big fan of textiles, obscure German cinema and peanut butter.

Brett Chapman, Digital Producer
A filmmaker with a degree in Journalism, Brett joined the Guild team in 2017. Brett makes all kinds of films from commercial promos to documentary and feature films. His film Residue of a Relationship won Best Documentary at the Isle of Man Film Festival in 2017.
As well as film Brett is a big fan of interesting stories, emo music and pad Thai.

Oriana Franceschi, Events Coordinator
Oriana originally came to live in Sheffield in 2017 to work with Sheffield Doc/Fest and Cinema For All and she still sits on the programming and selection teams for Glasgow Short Film Festival and the Edinburgh Short Film Festival. Oriana also performs music as Shelley Byron and in 'pilgrim-pop' band Mother Night.
As well as film, Oriana is a fan of making felt animals, Columbo and Lasagne.
