Teaming up with the Arts Network to inspire students and graduates
Here at the Guild, we encourage student membership and are committed to bridging the gap between University and professional life. Next month we are teaming up with the Arts Network from Sheffield Hallam Student's Union to put on an exciting event to bring students and graduates together with Guild members and other arts professionals.
Join us on Thursday 9th March for an evening of talks, speed dating networking and opportunities both for students and professionals to find people, support and services.
The evening will be made up of three main parts, as well as attending the event, we are also looking for members to get involved in all parts of the event:
We are delighted to have three Guild members joining us to tell their story from starting out to where they are now.
Confirmed so far are:
Following on from the success of last year's speed dating networking events, we have decided to do it all again.
Its a great way to meet a huge range of individuals without the awkwardness that can often go along with the word 'networking'. And don't panic, its all totally platonic!
We will be setting up themed stations around the room with friendly professionals on hand to answer your questions and offer you advice.
Find out all about how to run a theatre company, be a self employed musician or set up your own business and much more.
Although the event is with Sheffield Hallam University and aimed at students, graduates and emerging professionals, everyone is welcome and the event is open to the general public.
If you are a Guild member and are willing to be on hand to tell your story, share your experiences and offer advice as part of the event that would be great!
Please get in touch here to let us know. All members taking part in the event will be paid 3 hour credits through the timebank.
