Blowfish Theatre return with Trump The Musical
We're always excited when one of our members makes something new so when we found out that Laurence Peacock, Co-Artistic Director at Blowfish Theatre, has a new show being performed as part of the Festival of Debate, we asked him to tell us more, here's what he had to say:
The perpetrators of Boris the Musical are back. And this time, it's worse!
2020. Time to make Donald Great Again! But can King Nigel Farage the First of England get his trade deal? When will Kim Jong Un stop messing about with missiles? And why has Vladimir Putin gone suspiciously quiet?
Join us at Blowfish Theatre for an evening of raucous comedy, original music and one truly awful wig. Trump the Musical is the show that proves just because the world’s being run by a power-crazed narcissist who will bomb us all to hell, it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it while it lasts.
Here's what the press had to say...
"Like Spitting Image without the latex and with much better songs... Full-on political satire that doesn't take itself seriously...very fast and clever comedy."
North West End
"Political-comedy with plenty of bite... like an episode of the Thick of It, only laced with LSD."
"Squeezes out every last sweetness, sourness, bitterness and zest from its protagonists' plentiful juicy foibles and flaws."
Now Then Manchester
The show is on at Theatre Deli between May 9-12th at 7:30pm.
Tickets are £10/12 and you can buy them here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/trump-the-musical-tickets-41756072537
