This event is free to attend and will be hosted on the Guild’s website for members to view at their leisure. You can read more about membership here.

In this session you’ll identify what the key criteria are for your practice to feel meaningful and effective for you. If you often feel too busy or have too many conflicting commitments this one to one discussion will help you find focus where and when you need it. You will gain an insight into how the different elements required for your creative business can complement each other instead of causing you stress and conflicting pressures on your time.

These sessions will be led by Anna Kime:

Anna spends her time in Sheffield as an artist, writer and freelancer. She survived lockdown life via an allotment, an embarrassment of books and multiple online peer networks for which she is eternally grateful.

Anna has led Lottery funded audience development strategies for Greater London and the North of England, worked nationally at the Independent Cinema Office and autonomously as a consultant. She loves to talk to interesting people about their creative practices and seeks freelance work that lets her do this. Anna’s current consultancy portfolio includes mentoring for Sheffield Creative Guild, advising Sensoria on film funding and evaluating Lottery funded initiatives for BFI Film Audience Network.

“Anna displays what I think is the most important of ambitions, to take her voice and her intelligence, with all the insight and eloquence that she has crafted over the years, and using it to lift up others so that they might be heard. Whether geared towards the artist, filmmaker, the industry professional or the audience member Anna is skilled at adapting and evolving her approach while never compromising her own skill.” Wendy Cook, Head of Cinema at Hyde Park Picture House
