We are ONE: Sheffield Creative Guild's First Birthday Party
On Thursday 13th July we’ll be celebrating one year of Sheffield Creative Guild, and we’ve lined-up an evening of delicious entertainment and eating.
Jim Ghedi is a six and 12-string guitarist and folk singer from the outskirts of Sheffield. Our friends at Our Favourite Places call him “easily one of the most mind-bogglingly prodigious talents in Sheffield today”, so we’re very pleased to have him, accompanied by Morven Bryce on violin.
Sarah Sharp is a crafter of deliciously eccentric pop, and recent winner of the 2017 2Weeks2MakeIt Grand Jury prize for her music video for 'Ornaments'. Stephen Scott is a storyteller, songwriter and poet. He tells darkly comic tales of ordinary and extraordinary life, with a compelling deadpan kind of calm. And Scott Russell is a musician and producer currently uncovering lost and dusty old songs and Sheffield social history to make into thoughtful, sometimes sombre musical tales of the city and its people.
You can also look forward to sideshows including Madame Zucchini’s political coconut shy, Bare Project’s story swap and artists and makers including LearnCreateSell, Crozzled, Doodle Monkey, Illustrator Kate and Dot Cotton Crafts selling their wares. To top it all off, we’ll have Sheffield’s TONCO cooking up a storm and serving some delicious food suitable for veggies, vegans, gf and tasty food connoisseurs!
Come and have a really special night with us, and don’t forget to bring an empty stomach!
