I-Team European Creative Project - Opportunity to get involved

Union St Cafe, 18-20 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2JP
6:00 pm - 12th February, 2019

I-Team is a creative peer-learning programme which provides a six week ‘space’ each year for a group of European professionals from all corners of the cultural sector to work and think together in different European cities, such as Paris, Istanbul, Palermo, Valencia, Kyiv, Berlin, Leipzig, Izmir… and now Sheffield.

A group of European creatives will be coming to Sheffield in May this year, and hope to connect up, between now and then, with any Sheffield-based people from the creative sector but also from other walks of life who may be interested in sharing some of this experience.

The object of this peer-learning activity is to explore aspects of the wider world of change and challenge; social, economic, cultural, environmental, democratic and so on, within which we all, as ‘cultural actors’, operate and pursue our practice. The project looks at particular aspects of this world and offers those involved some time to reflect on their own practice: in short, how to respond artistically in ways that reflect where we are, rather than where we were. It is not straightforward.

The project is led by Ivor Davies who has lived in Sheffield since 1970, but has been working ‘out and about’ around Europe and beyond since 2010. Sheffield Creative Guild would like to invite anyone who might be interested to come and meet Ivor and find out more about I-Team and how you can get involved.
