Monthly Social - One Thing that Scares Me
Sheffield Creative Guild's monthly socials are back in a new place and with a new theme!
Come be inspired and inspire others to take a step into the un(or barely)known at One Thing that Scares Me, our new monthly night dedicated to overcoming trepidation and turning challenges into opportunities.
On the last Thursday of every month, Guild members will speak about risks they’ve taken that have paid off (perhaps in surprising ways!) and chances they are contemplating today: maybe a move into something new, expanding on their current practice, or rethinking the path they’re on.
The talks will be followed by music, performances and visual art from our fearless members that will leave you ready to take on the next month.
At March's event, you can hear from:
David Edwards, website designer and copywriter
Everything changes - our jobs, where we work, our personal/family circumstances. Changing course is full of unknowns, what life skills do we need to stay confident whilst we head off in a new direction?
Beth Evans, founder and creative director of SUBTXT
Coming up with an idea that has never-before been thought of is a rare and exciting achievement; it also means you're creating something from nothing, which presents its own unique set of obstacles...
Following David and Beth's short talks, Sarah Sharp (aka Tsarzi) will treat us all to some of her eccentric, darkly-comic pop.
