Sheffield Creative Guild Funding Workshops: Monitoring & Evaluation

This event has been rescheduled due to lockdown. A small number of tickets will be made available for participants to attend the workshop in our space in Orchard Square, but these will be released nearer the time so that we can be sure we are in keeping with current government guidelines.

Pamela Johnson will deliver a workshop focusing on different techniques for evaluating and reporting the success of a project: from basic feedback surveys and forms to more innovative methods. You’ll be coached on what funders are likely to expect in the way of reporting frameworks and how to nurture a positive future relationship with funders.

In our follow up session you’ll be given another chance to workshop your application, as well as discuss your successes and struggles since the course began. You’ll also be asked to reflect on the course both for your own benefit and so we can report back on how useful the course has been for Sheffield Creative Guild Members.

Pamela has worked in the cultural sector since 1990 and has been training, advising and supporting artists, arts and heritage organisations for over 20 years. She has held practitioner posts, but also worked as a funding distributor and grant application assessor. Her more recent consultancy work has seen her delivering successful fundraising consultancy for artists, theatre companies and venues and delivering training with a hands-on and creative approach that is rooted in practical experience. Her extensive knowledge and experience of the arts funding environment has resulted in demand to develop strategies, create and write funding applications and lead on evaluation and reporting requirements.

Sheffield Creative Guild // Funding workshops

At last year’s AGM you told us that you’d like more support in creating funding bids for your various projects, so that’s exactly what we’re going to do with our new programme of funding themed workshops. We’ll take you through the stages of sourcing funding, putting in your application and evaluating your project. This will be presented by experts in the field in three individual workshops with follow-up drop in sessions available for anyone looking to delve deeper into their actual funding bids and get group and expert feedback.
