This event is part of a series aimed at SIA students but is open to Guild members as well.

Sheffield Creative Guild has partnered with Sheffield Institute of Arts to deliver a series of events aimed at bridging the gap between graduating and professional life.

About S1 Artspace

Since opening in 1961, Park Hill – described by Historic England as “Britain’s most ambitious inner-city development of its time” – has had a profound impact on Sheffield’s social and topographical landscape. Standing on a 32-acre site overlooking the city, it is considered a prime example of ‘Brutalist’ architecture and the largest listed structure in Europe. The estate is now mid-way through a process of regeneration. It is home to S1 Artspace’s interim gallery and studios and the site for a proposed major new gallery and studios complex. This visit will be a chance to find out more about the story of Park Hill and the plans for the future.
