Since the Guild launched in 2016, our membership has developed into a vibrant community of creatives from across the city. Our members are artists and makers, performers and designers, filmmakers and photographers, writers and producers, architects and dancers and so much more. Together, we’re proof that Sheffield is home to a diverse and brilliant mix of creative talent.
£79 full / £39 concession / £20 student & graduate
Concessions are offered to those who are unwaged or earning under £12,000 a year.
Our student membership is available for those who are studying full time or have graduated from full time study within the past two years.
The arts can be a very closed industry and doesn’t always offer equal opportunities to everyone. With this in mind, each year we offer a number of bursary memberships, partly supported by Sheffield City Council. All you need to do is create a free profile on our site and fill out this form letting us know why you would like to become a Guild member. Applications will be assessed quarterly (in January, April, July and October) and priority will be given to those from protected groups.
If you would rather, you can submit a short video application through this form, covering the same information. Need some help or want to discuss your application with us? Drop us a line at [email protected]
“The Guild are a really supportive organisation for artists and people working in the creative sector. Last year they awarded me some funding to develop my practice, which has allowed me to purchase a new pottery wheel, and attend a couple of courses. I am also taking part in their mentor scheme, and I’m currently being mentored by Anna Kime, who has been very helpful in guiding me to find more productive and creative ways of working and managing my time this year.” – Mollie Milton, Ceramicist
