Talks & Sessions Programme Coordinator – Sheffield DocFest

The Talks & Sessions Programme Coordinator will assist with the curation, production and administration of the Talks programme for the 2022 Festival. 

Contract: Fixed-term (3rd May – 1st July 2022)
Hours: 3rd May, 4 days per week, 6th June full time until 1 July 2022.
Fee: 41 days // £81 per day // £3321

Key deliverables:

  • Assist with the curation, production and administration of the Talks programme for the 2022 Festival;
  • Administer the process for assigning session producers for the 2022 Festival;
  • Liaise with session producers to confirm speakers and chairs for the Talks programme at the 2022 Festival ensuring representation across the programme;
  • Lead on producing a number of key sessions for the 2022 programme;
  • Working closely with the Industry team and assigned pitch producers oversee the preparation and production of the live pitch events for the 2022 festival;
  • Assist with invites and registration for session producers and speakers;
  • Collate Talks programme information (speaker biographies, headshot, session titles and synopsis) for the Festival publications and upload to the website;
  • Continue to update and maintain the Talks & Sessions team’s internal systems including updating contacts databases, tracking spreadsheets and project management software;
  • Keep the Talks & Sessions section of the Festival website updated, ensuring all content is ready for the Festival Programme launch in May;
  • Liaise with staff in other teams of Sheffield DocFest to ensure unity across teams and exchange of information;
  • During the Festival, assist the Talks & Sessions Senior Producer to ensure the smooth running of the Talks & Sessions programme during the 2022 Festival;
  • Represent Sheffield DocFest as a member of the team during the Festival in 2022;
  • Assist with post-Festival evaluation and reporting to funders and partners;
  • Feed into the Festival debrief document.
