We are seeking up to two artists/workshop leaders with a theatre/performing arts, music and/or visual arts/design background (music, spoken word, theatre, storytelling, singing, dance etc).

The Project: Routes to Roots
Routes to Roots is a participation project inspired by and using Maya Productions new musical in development as a stimulus. Benny and the Greycats, tells the story of a family of Anglo-Indian musicians who swap playing in a swing band in South India, for a new life in 1960s Sheffield.
In association with Theatre Deli, the project will work with a group of young people, aged between 14-17 from Handsworth Grange School in Sheffield.
Working together with another artist you will:-
- Plan and co-lead a series of workshop sessions to develop creative skills.
- Provide a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for creativity to happen and stories to be shared.
- Inspire the participants to feel proud of their cultural heritage.
- Develop creative material with the groups to be shared with family, friends, and wider audience.
