The Volunteer Assistant will assist the Volunteer Coordinator with day to day administrative tasks in preparing for the implementation of, the delivery, and the post-Festival administration of the Sheffield DocFest Volunteer Programme.
Contract: Fixed-term, payroll contract (3rd May – 1st July 2022)
Hours: Full-time
Fee: 44 days // £75 per day // £3300
Summary of deliverables:
- Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with day to day administrative tasks in preparing for the implementation of the Sheffield DocFest Volunteer Programme;
- Assist with research that will contribute towards funding for the Volunteer programme;
- Continually update the youth contact list;
- Use Fiona to administrate the schedules and applications for volunteers;
- Assist with the delivery of the volunteer inductions both online and in person;
- Administer the Volunteer schedules where needed;
- Administer the Volunteer registration by sending out links, uploading headshots, and chasing late registrations;
- Assist with a team of volunteers on bag packing, building delegate packs, flyering, venue set up and hanging signage pre Festival;
- Assist with the organisation on the pre Festival induction to all volunteers, working with each department to meet requirements;
- During the Festival, represent Sheffield DocFest as a Head Volunteer at the Volunteer base;
- Assist the Volunteers Coordinator with any additional support during the Festival;
- Assist with the research, set up and delivery of the Volunteer end of the Festival party and OXOTO Productions documentary workshop;
- Post Festival assist with venue pack down and storeroom;
- Assist with setting up templates for letter of recommendation and certificates;
- Post Festival assist with actioning the Volunteer Reward Scheme to the volunteers;
- Post Festival feedback to the Head of HR & Participation for input to the Festival Debrief;
- Provide a handover to the Head of HR & Participation;
