I am an award winning indie pattern designer specialising in taxidermy inspired knits.
I run my own brand Sincerely Louise and moved to Sheffield about a year ago, taking a studio in Harland Works. I'm looking to meet other creative people, to explore ideas, collaborate with or just go to the pub with (being self employed in a new city can be a little lonely at times). I'm currently working on a project that raises awareness of climate change.
I sell knitting kits, patterns and have written two knitting pattern books, Faux Taxidermy Knits (David & Charles 2014) and The Knitter's Activity Book (Pavillion 2019). In 2016 I won the grand prize in the UK Etsy Awards. I've worked with The V&A, Boden, Innocent Smoothies, Phileas Fogg Crisps, Hobbycraft, Mollie Makes and most UK knitting magazines and have been featured in national and international press (at the height of my fame I appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh Show).
I also have a degree in commercial photography, I take all my own images. I'm also pretty good at indesign, I laid out my last book (and was paid for it) and all my patterns.
I'm also pretty good at social media, my Instagram has around 12.6k followers and am happy to share tips on how to use the platforma and gain new followers.
