Hello, I’m Emma! I'm passionate about archaeology, heritage sites, historic houses, museums, art galleries and objects. I love the stories that objects can tell us. I am skilled in collecting artefacts, writing and disseminating the information with people of all ages. I am expert in organising acquisitions, loans of collections, liaising with curatorial and exhibition specialists, planning transportation, creating storage solutions, and installing exhibitions.
As a team player with strong interpersonal skills I am able too communicate at all levels and establish strong working relationships. I excel at challenging tasks while developing new ways to accomplish assigned duties. I have the ability to meet deadlines, preferably ahead of time. I am a keen learner, learning new systems and processes, while exhibiting high-performance standards, patience, integrity, and confidentiality.
During the Covid19 Pandemic I dusted off the paints and brushes and reengaged with my artistic practice creating weekly art under the name of Art by the gate, this included simple greetings cards, paintings, treasure trails and celebratory decorations for events in the community. I am currently on the Enrol Yourself, Learning Marathon, Sheffield Pioneers peer -led learning accelerator for adults pooling skills and resources and networks to multiply their professional and personal development. Developing my creative practice and sharing with others.
