I'm Anne and I was born in Sheffield - in another era when the internet and websites, social media and mobile phones, and many other things didn't exist. I wrote my Manchester University thesis longhand with a fountain pen. Now, alongside other local artists and makers, I help out at All Good Stuff on Arundel Street and make jewellery and decorative pieces using traditional and experimental techniques, I craft each piece by hand so each piece is unique - even pieces which I repeat will differ slightly one from another. I am inspired by natural forms - flora, fauna and land/sky-scapes and by the art of ancient cultures including Celtic traditions. Semi-precious gems and beads are often featured in my pieces and I source all my materials from responsible, ethical suppliers. My Sponsor mark (AMM) is registered with Sheffield (UK) Assay Office.
