Jessica Shipton

Public Programme Coordinator/Event Organiser

In my role for Sheffield Museums as the Public Programme Coordinator, I organise talks, workshops, classes, late night openings and special events across the sites: Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, Millennium Gallery, Graves Gallery, Kelham Island Museum, Shepherd Wheel and Weston Park Museum. My aim is to engage new audiences with our exhibitions and collections, through a variety of fun and interesting events.I feel lucky to work in such a talented, creative city and I’m always looking for new people and organisations to collaborate with on projects at the museums.
I also work as a freelance Events Organiser, having worked for organisations such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre, the Vintage Carnival, Nottingham Trent University, Lou Lou’s Vintage Fairs and the Craft & Flea.
My skills include (but are not limited to) event planning, event management, event marketing, event plate spinning and event putting out of fires.
