Membership Terms & Conditions
On becoming a member of the Sheffield Creative Guild ("SCG", "us", "our" or "we"), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions which govern our relationship with you.
The information you provide to us at the point of registration is important and you hereby warrant that such information is accurate, true and up to date. You also undertake promptly to inform us of any changes to the information provided.
SCG offers a range of membership packages (details of which can be found at sheffieldcreativeguild.com/join.) Clarification of which membership package you are entitled to apply for can be discussed with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org; however, in the event that you take out membership in an incorrect category we reserve the right to terminate your membership with no obligation to repay the membership fee.
All individual members must be at least 18 years of age and SCG reserves the right to refuse any application for membership or renewal. SCG may end your membership at any time if, in the reasonable opinion of SCG, you are in breach of any of these terms and conditions. If you wish to terminate your membership of SCG, please notify email@example.com.
An individual member is any person over 18 years of age whose annual income exceeds the income tax personal allowance. Information on the current income tax personal allowance can be found here. Organisations that seek representation through individual membership of an employee will be disqualified from participation with SCG. If you are in any doubt about your status, please check with SCG before joining.
A concession member is any person over 18 years of age whose annual income is less than the income tax personal allowance. Information on the current income tax personal allowance can be found here. If you are in any doubt about your status, please check with SCG before joining. SCG reserve the right to ask members to prove their eligibility for concession status.
A student member is any person over 18 years of age who is in full time education at the time of joining. If you are in any doubt about your status, please check with SCG before joining. SCG reserve the right to ask members to prove their eligibility for student status.

Membership benefits may change and, where possible, members will be notified on the website.
Details of the membership fees can be found on SCG website at sheffieldcreativeguild.com/join. Fees are charged on an annual basis unless a quarterly option is offered. SCG reserves the right to increase the membership fees at any time however you will be informed of any increases to your subscription when you are due for renewal.
We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any third parties, such details will only be used for the purpose of processing your membership payment.
If you cancel your membership or if your membership is terminated for cause by us, no refund will be given.
Password and Security
One of the benefits of SCG membership is enhanced access to the SCG website (sheffieldcreativeguild.com). When joining SCG, you will be asked to create a password. You covenant that you will keep this password confidential and will not disclose or share it with anyone. Please note that you will be responsible for activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password.
If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you are responsible for notifying us immediately. Access to the membership area of our website is for named individuals only and is password protected. Password and login details are non-transferable; anyone found sharing their password and login details will have their membership immediately terminated without refund of fees.
Third Party Sites
The sheffieldcreativeguild.com site contains links to third party resources on the Web. We do not endorse, approve or sanction (unless otherwise stated) nor are we responsible for any third party's products, services, acts or omissions. There is no association or connection between us and the third party (unless otherwise stated) save for the provision of the link. We do not act in partnership with nor as agent for or on behalf of the third party to whom we provide links. Accordingly, neither party may incur any debt or liability on behalf of the other party.
SCG does not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay or failure to comply or meet its obligations under these terms and conditions as a consequence of any event or cause which is beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we, our employees, affiliates, agents or other representatives be liable for any loss or damage (including direct, indirect, consequential, loss of profits, loss of confidential or other information and/or business interruption) arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions and/or your membership of SCG.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that SCG is found liable in respect of any claim, our maximum liability is limited to the membership fee paid by the member bringing the claim.
You hereby undertake to indemnify us against any loss or damage suffered by us as a result of any breach by you of any of these terms of conditions.
Membership of SCG does not give any member the right to sit or attend any committees that have been established by SCG.
Termination of Membership
If we terminate your membership or you choose to end your membership with SCG, you must immediately remove SCG name and logo from any publicity material, website and/or other medium on which you have included the name and/or logo on.
As a consequence of ceasing to be a member, you will no longer have any access to the benefits offered by SCG.
Third Party Rights
None of these terms and conditions may be enforced under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by a party other than you and SCG.
These terms and conditions and any disputes arising from or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of England and we and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
